Pirate costumes for women will often have very high leather boots which, when worn with something short, will guarantee to make you the centre of attention amongst the party’s male guests. The only thing about these types of boots is that they can be very expensive… Fortunately there are many fancy dress outlets that hire out pirate costumes as well as selling them.
So, as you can now see, to look sexy at a fancy dress costumes party, it is not necessary to dress up in a saucy nurse’s outfit (unless of course your boyfriend likes the idea of it…). Pirate costumes are a great way to look sexy and a little bit different to all of the other guests. You can be as demure or risque as you want to and still stand out from everyone else. After all, what fun would it be for a girl to dress up as just another French maid or sexy vampires?
This direction of approaching the market is so far away from our original female pirates who actually existed and lived an adventurous life plundering treasure and risking their lives in order to become rich. Today out standard of living is generally higher and so we no longer need to steal from merchant ships. Instead we buy low cost product from China and use that to satisfy our need for costumes and dressing up in our celebration of ancient customs.

For a woman, going to a halloween fancy dress party can be a great excuse to wear a really sexy outfit. There are quite a number of different things to choose from that can look really good. One of the largest factors which you have to consider when you are deciding on what to wear is how much self confidence you have. You do not want to make yourself stand out from the crowd if it is going to make you feel uncomfortable all evening and ultimately ruin the whole party for you. There are still plenty of outfits to choose from even if are not daring enough to wear something with a short skirt or a low-cut top. You can still manage to look really alluring without showing off your legs.
Pirate costumes for women can look very sexy and still be relatively simple. For the less confident lady, there is the option of dressing up in a man’s style of outfit with some small feminine touches added to it. For example, you could wear some fairly plain-looking trousers with a wide leather belt. This will help to exaggerate your waistline and hips. Perhaps you could wear a man’s shirt with the belt over the top of it? For ladies who are a bit more daring they could have the shirt unbuttoned quite low and wear a nice necklace that is in keeping with pirate costumes.
Another possibility is a nice skirt or dress worn with leather boots. Have a look at Keira Knightley in the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movies and the style of her clothes. If you can find yourself a dress that has got a lace-up front then it will look really nice with a pair of black or brown boots even if it is long. This is the good thing about pirate costumes; there are so many different ways to dress. Again, for braver ladies that want something that is a bit more ‘naughty’, there is the option of a lace-up dress that is a bit too tight and a little on the short side.Certainly adds something extra to a Halloween party

Halloween is almost here again and there will be many fancy dress parties going on. It is the favourite time of year to get dressed up in a strange outfit and to make a fool of yourself. When it comes down to what you are going to wear there are all kinds of possibilities. A lot of people tend to stick to the Halloween theme and go as Dracula, The Mummy, Frankenstein or The Wolfman. Sticking to the traditional spooky image of Halloween is all well and good, but there are a lot of alternatives to consider as well…
Pirate costumes are becoming very popular for fancy dress parties. They have always featured in the selections of outfits in fancy dress shops but they are now being worn by a lot more partygoers. A lot of this is down to the great commercial success of the Johnny Depp and his films Mr. Depp and his crewmates have managed to make pirate costumes look like incredibly cool things to wear.
Of course, there have been movies with buccaneers; when Disney created its ‘Caribbean’ franchise it had not really come up with anything new. The main reason that they have been so amazingly successful is because they tap into a wonderful type of adventure story that had been largely forgotten about. Cinema has always had its antiheroes in pirate costumes, but there had not been any really good ones for quite a number of years.
When Captain Jack Sparrow made his dazzling appearance across the big screen, he captured us with his wit and charm, and the whole pirate story came back to life. You immediately remembered all the pirate tales you watched as a kid on TV and felt the same excitement.
